Preparation
- In a small mixing bowl, combine ¼ cup of mayonnaise and 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard. Stir until smooth.
- Take 8 slices of sandwich bread and spread the mayo-mustard mixture evenly on one side of each slice.
- On 4 slices with the spread facing up, layer 1 thick slice or 2 thin slices of deli ham and add 1 slice of cheese. Top with the remaining slices, spread side down.
- Trim off the crusts and cut each sandwich diagonally into coffin shapes, about 4 inches long.
- Decorate with cheese strips or ketchup/mustard to add Halloween flair.
- Chill the finished sandwiches on a platter covered with plastic wrap for at least 10 minutes.
