Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small pot, bring 1 cup of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add the peel of half an orange and a cinnamon stick to the pot. Reduce the heat to medium and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Introduce 1 black tea bag or 1 teaspoon of loose leaf black tea into the pot. Allow it to steep for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Carefully strain the mixture into a cup using a fine mesh strainer to remove the solids.
  5. While the tea is still hot, add 1 teaspoon of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  6. Pour in 1 cup of milk into the cup with the brewed tea. Return to low heat for 2-3 minutes.
