Preparation Steps
- Thaw puff pastry and frozen spinach for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Dice onion and mince garlic. Sauté in olive oil until translucent.
- In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, Parmesan, nutmeg, salt, pepper, and cooled onion-garlic mixture with spinach.
- Roll out the puff pastry to about 10x10 inches and transfer to a pie dish.
- Fill the pastry with spinach filling, fold corners over the top.
- Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for about 45 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
