- Begin by boiling 4 cups of water in a medium saucepan over high heat.
- Once the water is boiling, add in 2 tablespoons of the green tea.
- Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and allow to boil for an additional 2 minutes.
- Now, add the whole spices to the boiling mixture.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the tea simmer gently for 20-30 minutes.
- After simmering, stir in 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Next, add 2 cups of whole milk to the simmering tea mixture.
- Once you see the lovely pink color achieved, remove the saucepan from heat.
- To serve, sweeten the chai with sugar or honey to your taste.
