Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, combine equal parts brown sugar and water. Heat over medium-low until it reaches a gentle simmer, whisking occasionally. Keep an eye on it for about 5 minutes, until the mixture thickens slightly. Once ready, remove from heat and let cool.

  2. Brew two shots of espresso using your espresso machine or a stovetop moka pot. Pour the warm espresso into a cocktail shaker.
