Cooking Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
- Add diced onion to the skillet and sauté for about 4 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic for an additional minute.
- Mix in tomato paste, then stir in flour. Gradually pour in beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps; season with thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Allow the mixture to simmer over medium-low heat for 8-10 minutes until thickened. Stir in frozen peas or mixed vegetables.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in softened butter, then mix in milk until just combined.
- Drop tablespoons of dumpling dough over the beef mixture, aiming for 6-8 dumplings. Cover the skillet with a lid and reduce heat to low.
- Steam the dumplings for 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
- Once steamed, remove from heat and let sit uncovered for 5 minutes. Serve in bowls with beef and dumplings.

Notes
For best results, use cold butter and milk for the dumplings to ensure a fluffy texture.
