Ingredients

For the Dough
  • 400 grams Strong White Flour Substitute with all-purpose flour if needed.
  • 100 grams Strong Wholewheat Flour Can replace with more white flour for a lighter texture.
  • 7 grams Easy-Blend Dried Yeast Adjust quantity if using fresh yeast.
  • 300 ml Warm Water Ensure it’s not too hot to avoid killing the yeast.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive or Rapeseed Oil Any neutral oil can be a suitable alternative.
For the Sauce
  • 500 ml Passata Tomato puree can serve as a substitute.
  • 1 clove Garlic Clove (crushed) Garlic powder may be smaller amounts.
For the Toppings
  • 200 grams Grated Mozzarella Cheddar or dairy-free cheese can be used.
  • 100 grams Black Olives Green olives or artichoke hearts could be fun substitutes.
  • 100 grams Cherry Tomatoes Can be swapped with bell peppers.
  • 10 grams Basil Leaves Dried basil can be used but added during cooking.

Equipment

  • Large Bowl
  • Food Processor
  • Baking sheets
  • Oven

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Combine strong white flour, strong wholewheat flour, easy-blend dried yeast, and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Gradually add warm water and mix until a soft dough forms.
  2. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a round shape about 15cm in diameter. Place the rounds on oiled baking sheets.
  3. Prepare the sauce by mixing passata with crushed garlic, a drizzle of olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Spread the sauce mixture onto each pizza base, leaving a 2cm border along the edge for the crust.
  5. Sprinkle grated mozzarella on each pizza and create a spider design with black olives.
  6. Cover the pizzas with a kitchen towel and let them rise for 20 minutes in a warm spot.
  7. Preheat the oven to 240°C. Bake the risen pizzas for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
