- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Combine salted butter and creamy peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl, microwave until smooth.
- Mix in light brown sugar and granulated sugar, then add eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
- Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt, then fold gently until just combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake for 18-22 minutes until edges are golden.
- Allow to cool slightly then dollop peanut butter over the top and spread evenly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder, powdered sugar, warmed milk and butter, beat until smooth.
- Spread frosting evenly over the cooled bars and allow to set at room temperature for 1 hour.
- Melt marshmallows and stretch them to create a spooky web design over the frosted bars.
- Use melted chocolate to create spider bodies on a tray, then form legs with chocolate and freeze until set.
- Place chocolate spiders on the bars, add candy eyes and optional plastic spiders, then slice to serve.
