Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Combine salted butter and creamy peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl, microwave until smooth.
  3. Mix in light brown sugar and granulated sugar, then add eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
  4. Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt, then fold gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake for 18-22 minutes until edges are golden.
  6. Allow to cool slightly then dollop peanut butter over the top and spread evenly.
  7. In a mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder, powdered sugar, warmed milk and butter, beat until smooth.
  8. Spread frosting evenly over the cooled bars and allow to set at room temperature for 1 hour.
  9. Melt marshmallows and stretch them to create a spooky web design over the frosted bars.
  10. Use melted chocolate to create spider bodies on a tray, then form legs with chocolate and freeze until set.
  11. Place chocolate spiders on the bars, add candy eyes and optional plastic spiders, then slice to serve.
