Ingredients
  

Tofu Ingredients
  • 14 oz Extra-Firm Tofu Press to remove excess moisture
  • 3 tbsp Soy Sauce or Tamari Use tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Oil Use sparingly
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 cloves Garlic (grated)
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger (grated)
Coating Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp White and Black Sesame Seeds Opt for raw seeds
  • 1 large Egg Can be omitted for vegan option
  • 2 sprays Olive Oil Spray For even browning
Serving Ingredients
  • 4 cups Cilantro Lime Rice or Cauliflower Rice
  • 2 cups Snap Peas and Edamame (steamed)
Dipping Sauce Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (for Sriracha mayo) Use vegan mayo for plant-based
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha Sauce Adjust for heat

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Press Tofu: Remove excess moisture from tofu by placing it between towels and adding a weight on top for 30 minutes.
  2. Marinate Tofu: Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl. After pressing, cut tofu and toss in marinade for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Prepare Cooking Method: Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) or oven to 425°F (220°C).
  4. Coat Tofu: If using, beat egg for wash, dip tofu and coat with sesame seeds.
  5. Cook Tofu: Air fry for 10 minutes or bake for 10-15 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Make Sriracha Mayo: Combine mayonnaise and Sriracha for dipping sauce.
  7. Serve Deliciously: Plate tofu with rice and veggies, drizzled with extra tamari and serve with Sriracha mayo.
